  • Vietnamese OEMs visit Abidjan for the transformation of the Cashew

    A delegation of businessmen and Vietnamese manufacturers conduct a mission to Côte d'Ivoire from next Tuesday, APA learned Saturday from official sources in the Ivorian economic capital.

    According to a press release of the Cotton Board and Cashew, this visit which will last from April 12 to 16 are part of "supporting the transformation of cashew nuts in Ivory Coast."

    This mission will be furnished with "exchanges with industrial cashew and economic operators interested in the processing of cashew." A visit to the processing units is also on the menu.

    Côte d'Ivoire became in 2015 the largest producer of cashew nuts with 700 000 tonnes. Of this production, only 45 000 tonnes were processed locally, to believe in, the Director-General of the Council of cotton and cashew, Malamine Sanogo.
