    Aug 18th, 2016

Bringing much relief to the workers of the public sector cashew factories who had been remaining unemployed for the past one year, eleven factories under the management of the Kerala State Cashew Development Corporation (KSCDC) reopened on Wednesday. The remaining nineteen factories of the KSCDC will reopen on Thursday.

The reopening was formally inaugurated by Minister for Cashew Industry J. Mercykutty Amma at a function at the Ayathil factory of the KSCDC. The Minister said steps were being taken to ensure that all public sector cashew factories provided continuous work to the cashew workers.
