  • Funding for Sustainable Development of Territories at the Center of a Forum in Abidjan

    The Assembly of Regions and Districts of Cote d'Ivoire (ARDCI) and the Union of Cities and Municipalities of Cote d'Ivoire (UVICOCI) organized, on Monday and Tuesday in Abidjan, With the Global Fund for the Development of Cities (FMDV) and the French Patronage (MEDEF International), an exchange forum under the theme "Challenges of financing sustainable urban and territorial development in Côte d'Ivoire".At the close of this forum, which brought together political and technical leaders from Ivorian cities, towns and regions, Lazare Dago, Director General of Decentralization and Local Development, representing the Ivorian Minister of State, Minister of the Interior and Security, welcomed this initiative and wished it "periodic perpetuation".

    It was during this forum, to organize meetings between French companies, Ivorian companies and local authorities to understand the stakes and opportunities of development in Ivorian cities and regions and create opportunities for action.Ivorian actors in public and private partnerships solutions were also made aware of the conditions for success, the existing financing modalities and opportunities to ensure the sustainable development of territories through expert-led training sessions.

    They have enabled them to reinforce their capacities for action and decision-making through exchanges with experts and practitioners on innovative financing solutions (access to financial markets and borrowing, PPP, land value appreciation, etc.). .), But also to meet technical and financial partners to identify opportunities to develop projects or consider future collaborations (companies, donors).
